Medical School Life

Unveiling The Experiences Of A Medical School

Well, quite literally a medical college can more of be called as a medical school. It is unlike any regular college.
As a compassionate and ambitious student you’ll enter the medical college with high hopes of being able to learn and nourish your skills with the experienced intelligent young minds around you.
But, quite often this doesnot happen . You, for that despite being in an extremely competitive environment which you’re going to face , you’ll also be dealing with the humans who are from different locations and different motives.
In school everyone belonged to the same city, even though some migrated from different areas they very well adapted to the culture and teachings of the same institution.
While in college there is diversity in characters and understanding amongst different people.
It’s extremely hard to search for your tribe or to feel a sense of belonging amongst underdeveloped minds around you. You might fool yourself being along with people whom you don’t expect to return to after the college ends.

To begin with the title I would like to introduce to you that I entered a Private Medical College . Well, for me definitely its not a thing to boast upon but of-course, you cannot run away from the realities of your life and definitely have to accept them courageously at some point.
Also I’m extremely grateful to be able to do what i always wanted to.
If you enter a private medical college and you are of one those who have a background and have been brought up from a prestigious school roots then you might feel the same
First year in a Medical College can be hard
You enter the college with everything you collected during your foundation years (achievements, dignity, self-respect ) but honestly, nobody cares about it once you’re in a medical school.
Also if you’re in a private medical institute you’ll be categorised more as a medical parent child or a no medico parent child.
You’ll not even know when the achievement of your parents’ or your parents‘ choice of being a doctor becomes your identity.

First year, is more of a strive towards reaching the second professionals.
You got to leave your previous issues in a trash bag before you start your journey. Believe me on that.
Anatomy is going to rip out your heart .
Physiology and Biochemistry will be slow poisons.
You’ve got to study Anatomy and Physiology thoroughly or you’re going to end up covering in the later stages of life.
At first its very obvious to forget the purpose what brought you there. The vision might get distorted but you’ve got to replenish the thought.
Your first year will be more of ragging sessions and building up your rapo with the seniors. I know it is important at its place. But, respect is earned, not forcefully taken by bullying. The concept is to be re evaluated.

You cant do much at a medical school in the first year than to take interest in Anatomy by video lectures.Marrow is a great source for that although.
A teacher once told us that if you dont want to study dont waste your time instead Enjoy.
A pro tip for your medical career is that MAKE NOTES and make sure you study for each test thoroughly if not everyday.
Things will change but do not forget that you entered a medical school to save lives and nevertheless earn respect along with the money.
People will come and people will go but the purpose always remains.
